United Church Women (UCW)

Langley United Church has a very active United Church Women group who meet on the first Monday of the month (excluding July and August) at 1:30 PM in the church hall. The meetings include business followed by interesting and informative programs, refreshments and fellowship time. In March, the meeting is held at a local restaurant for dinner and a social time.

The many activities of the UCW during the year include:

• providing entertainment and refreshments once a month for the residents of Langley Lodge and Highland Lodge,
• monthly crafting sessions,
• a Holly Tea in December,
• a beef dinner in February (with proceeds going towards outreach to seniors), and
• a Strawberry Tea in June.

Many members of the UCW visit and keep in touch with those in our congregation who are house-bound or ill. There is an open invitation to all ladies of our congregation and community to join the UCW for meetings and activities and to enjoy the fellowship of other women as we work towards furthering the mission of Langley United Church.
