Music at Langley United Church

Music Director

Dr. Greg Caisley is the Music Director at Langley United Church, where music is an integral part of this community of faith. Under his leadership, the choir sings a broad range of sacred music from the last 500 years including praise music, spirituals, and contemporary music from the Iona and Taizé communities.

The Chancel Choir

Our 25+ voice choir sings most Sundays and provides music leadership for the weekly worship services, special services and other events. Some of our members have studied music and voice while others cannot read music. For anyone interested, there are opportunities for solos or duets, or if you have an idea, just let Greg know! If you love to sing you would be most welcome to join us. Come along any Thursday evening (except in July and August) between 7:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. – we would be delighted to see you.

Youth Wind Ensemble

From time to time several of our young people take part in worship services. Anyone who plays an instrument is encouraged to join this group, lead by Barry Brown, one of our choir members.

Concert Series

Throughout the year the choir organizes a series of events (PDF 2 pp. / 1.3 MB), which include concerts and recitals, with singers both from within our Church and from the community. We have also sponsored a Swing Dance as well as a Sock Hop.
