Confirmation/Adult Baptism Preparation

"Might as Well Jump"

During the 3rd and 4th centuries, when the baptismal rites of the Christian church were at a peak of vitality and innovation, the process of preparation for baptism lasted for three years. In some Christian traditions still today, the process lasts for one or two years.

At LUC we have been experimenting with a longer, more intensive time of preparation for adult baptism, or confirmation of baptismal vows for those baptized as infants or young children. Because this programme runs for about seven months, it is only offered every other year.
