      Loving G= od,

      We gather i= n the quiet if the evening

      We come to = you with an awareness of humility.

      We confess = that in our weakness

      In our live= s, we listen to the voice of temptation

        &= nbsp;   and not the voice of wisdom.

      We act upon= our impulse and not

        &= nbsp;   upon good judgment.

      We care mor= e for ourselves than others

        &= nbsp;   whose lives are not as full of abundance.

      We are stew= ards of our own lives,

        &= nbsp;   but do not act in stewardship

            toward all who share your splendid creation.

      As we sit in silence with you alone,
